The UC Links statewide office visited the Y-PLAN (Youth – Plan, Learn, Act Now) programs during the Spring of 2024 and 2025.
We were able to visit and witness the innovative ideas and proposals designed by students at Berkeley High School (Berkeley, CA) and at Escuela Popular in San José (CA).
In Berkeley High School, students designed many inclusive and impressive proposals to address issues like homelessness, use of public spaces, creating more community-based locations within the city to provide services to those in need. In San José, at Escuela Popular, students explored generative Artificial Intelligence to create visual representations of how they envision a more beautiful San José.
Check our the video field note where we share highlights of these two inspiring visits.
